So excited!

I had such a fun time last night at Seattle Bride Magazine’s Award Party!!  And felt so honored to win “Best Clerygy/Officiant” for 2012!  It was a festive reunion of stellar friends with whom I have the pleasure to work.  Here is a snapshot of me with by dear buddy Gerald Lim from Four Seasons Hotel.  They won for “Best Place for Large, Gala Weddings“!  Gerald is such an amazing Catering Services Manager.  Special thanks to all my wonderful clients and colleagues for supporting me.

Award Time for Seattle Bride “Magazine’s Best Of”

Julie: the Calmest of Brides!

Perhaps she is one of the easiest, most organized brides with whom I have been blessed to work. And Julie was simply aglow on her wedding day!   It was a warm gathering bursting with good cheer – what a treat to be among the well-wishers.

From Julie just today:

Rev. Mary, JT and I wanted to let you know how much we appreciated the beautiful ceremony you provided for us and our guests. You made it so meaningful for all of us and brought everyone together in a warm and relaxed way. We couldn’t have wished for it to go any better! It is hard to achieve perfection when you are dealing with an engineer and a business manager…but you exceeded our vision for our day. All we can say is WOW and thank you so very much from the bottom of our hearts.
With Love,
Julie and JT

Annie and Nicole

My confession:  I did not want to close their file.  I have delighted in sharing time with them this past year and several months.  And this was one of my most favorite weddings ever.  They were so insightful with their choices, their design, their inclusion of family and friends.  It was pure magic.  And of course I fell in love with their family as well.  No surprise!  From Annie’s mother, Ruth, the day after the wedding:

You are fabulous! Thank you for playing such an integral role in Annie’s and Nicole’s wedding. We loved meeting you and are very grateful.       ~Ruth

Special thanks to Jesse from True Colors Events.  I want to join your fan club!  And a nod to the great staff at The Woodmark Hotel.  Always stellar care.

Tricia and Niece Leila

One of my best-loved things about the “BIG” wedding is the calm before the guests arrive.  The formal shots are out of the way and everyone is kicking back.  I call this  “back stage cuddle time” when everyone just gets to take a deep breath and say and do as they wish.  This was a precious moment when Auntie is hugging her darling niece with Bride Tricia’s eyes welling with tears.  So rich.  Leila was our “Junior Bridesmaid” and felt so honored to be able to stand up front with the EIGHT other women in the Bridal Party!  Behind them you can see the classic stained glass dome at the Arctic Club Hotel in all of its glory.  The perfect setting for Tricia and Drew’s fabulous wedding day.  Katy Griffiths from Vows was our fearless leader, doing her usual stunning job! I felt so honored to be a part of it.

Pre-honeymoon note from Tricia and Drew (so sweet!)...Of course you will be receiving a more formal ‘thank you’ from us, but we truly can’t express how much we appreciate your compassion, honesty, and dedication you have given us through out this process. We received so many compliments after our wedding on our ceremony and particularly your words and readings! You made our happiest day so special, and we are so greatful!

Mischief and Mayhem

This candid just makes me grin!  So typical of what goes on behind the scenes just before a wedding!  These three little cousins are taking turns to  “break and enter” a secured staging area for the reception where a hotel has all the tables set perfectly.  It was such fun watching them as they attempted, with not much success, to borrow some trouble!
