I first met Brianne one year ago. Erik was still in the military but she wanted to get the wedding organized early. It was great fun to finally meet Erik when they joined me for dinner recently. We have much to celebrate – their new life TOGETHER and lots of wonderful family joining us for their well-planned wedding in April. It will be one of those “at last” moments when we all take a deep breathe and say, “finally.”
Roni and Becky were married in 2006 at the Lake Union Cafe – and it was a such a memorable wedding. Their handsome son Asher joined us in 2011 and now we welcome Caroline True, born on February 22, 2014. Congratulations to Becky and Roni and their families!
Confession: it was impossible for me to be objective about this wedding. I have worked with Dana for many years now. FUN and RELAXED was the order of the day – and you can tell by this candid photo that Dana and Kris accomplished just that. The gathering was one that shared a rich history of friendship and family. Kris and Dana remained true to their intentions of being genuine, romantic and present. They took time to honor their families. They recognized their friends. Their story was shared, laughter abounded and fine memories were made. It was heartfelt and soulful. Dana and Kris – thank you for allowing me to be a part of this magnificent day.
Both of Conner’s parents, Shirin and Josh, are ecstatic about his arrival this past January. He has been blessed with two exceptional parents and such doting grand-parents. Conner is so beautiful! Congratulations to you all.
Katie and Brian embrace the adage that less truly is MORE. Their wedding day will be one of intentional ease and play-fulness sprinkled with comfort. Our venue is the Salish Lodge where eleven us will gather soon. We enjoyed a meal of comfort as well and discussed an updated version of their plan. And even though it may be raining this weekend – I can’t imagine it will have an impact on their relaxed spirits. It was fun to hear how they met five years ago playing kick ball. Their story seems to go with how they journey through their life – no stress. Just right.
It was lovely – on every level. I admired how Missy and David involved their sweet mothers in their wedding. Carol and Sue were invited to be part of the Unity Candle Ceremony and signed the marriage documents. Meeting David’s mother, Carol (pictured here) was such a lesson in resilience. David’s father had passed away four weeks before this scheduled celebration. Carol was full of grace and charm throughout the day. Bravo! Special thanks to Lisa Chambers, who is one delightful event planner and helped make the magic happen!
Cali and Zak traveled all the way from New York to have dinner with me. Truth be told, they may have been here to see relatives and get some wedding business done as well. It was fun to reconnect and chat about their wedding coming up in July. It will be great fun to be at Newcastle with Wendy Wojckik (Weddings with Wendy)!
I officiated at Aria’s parent’s wedding in December, 2007. It is a wedding I don’t believe that I could ever forget. It was intimate and sweet and the room was filled with laughter. So it seems only right that this angel is smiling! Congratulations to Rebecca, Andrew and brother Zane! Thanks for sharing your news! She is lovely.
Tennis can be romantic – really! Emmett and Andjela met because they are both members of the University of Washington’s Tennis Team. We enjoyed a healthy, home-cooked meal recently to discuss the nuances of their wedding that will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel. It will be great fun to meet their loving and supportive families.
Angela and Brandon have known each other for many years. They were buddies back in the day. Isn’t it fascinating how life unfolds? Their friends and family gathered from all over the United States. Seattle’s sun shined on us. There was much to celebrate. For instance, Brandon and Angela’s parents have been together for over 66 combined married years. What a gift to the bride and groom that is! Special thanks to Megan at A Kurant Event. So calm; such a fun person. Lots of dreams came true that day at the Edgewater Hotel!
